I’m Alex from Ulan-Ude.
And now I want to tell you about a hero of my letter.
This man is Marshall Bruce Mathers. He is a singer. His nickname is “Eminem” or “Slim Shady“. At school he was called M&M. Marshall Mathers is megastar of hip-hop culture. I told that I am the biggest fan of rap music. He was born in 1974 in 17th of October in Kansas-city. When he was a child he lived in ghetto.
Marshall Mathers some times was awarded nomination “Man of the year” and “The best rapper in the world”! When he was young he took part in different hip-hop competitions. He said: “I didn’t recognize all the charms of walking in the parks and I didn’t playing basketball with teenagers. I never strived to have a car or something like it… All that I wanted –is to make a career in hip-hop”
Eminem’s producer said about young singer:”This guy writes really good music and it makes no differents for me– he’s white, black or green!
I like Marshall’s songs because more of them have a deep sense. Once in the letter Madonna wrote: “His music makes blood hot and thoughts clear. And his texts have more sense than words of George Bush”. In 2002 Eminem made an autobiographic film “8 mile”. My favorite album is “The Eminem show”. Eminem is my favorite singer.

…..Last week on TV in the news program I heard a speech by President of our country D.A. Medvedev - he came out with a proposal to the State Duma about lowering the age from 21 to 18 years, when the young people may be elected to the State Duma. And I think, this is a real chance to participate in the life of our country. We have a difficult time now - it is and economical crisis, and increased count of terrorism, and all sorts of diseases, from which there is no treatment… A great many problems on which we, the young, can not remain aloof. Do you agree with me?
And now, I think, young people have a real chance for to be elected and the opportunity to influence on the political and economic life of the country. We do not live in an isolated world, and now single country can not be regarded as an individual. We are very closely linked with all countries, and, of course, the problems we have in common. Not only in the country, but also in the world. To solve such problems and need fresh, young power, constructively minded minds, and if our State Duma will take the President's proposal, the youth will get a real chance to show all his best sides for the good of the country and the world. I do not care what is happening, and I was interested in the situation not only in our country, but in the world. I think the new decree of the President - this is my chance. I know that to participate in such activities, you should be literate, active, fully developed. What gives us the current system of education, I think. That will be enough, if we can not communicate with our peers abroad. Despite the commonality of views and interests, we have different history, culture, traditions, and the situation at the present day. As far as I know, thought thrives on conflict.. Perhaps this kind of communication can encourage me to new ideas, questions, etc.

About Brown`s politic. I believe that to Brown's views on international and, in particular, international economic relations should look. Moreover, over the past decade the UK economy as a global. Hi, Натусик! I am OK, thanks! And about your question. The first, I don`t want to lead the country...I think, it is very early to speak about so serious activity now. I am interested in politic and foreign language because I want to connect my future profession with international relations area`s. The second, I want to tell you about my principles. In my opinion, democratic and fair society is a basis of the other state. Its the way of the success of country or state. Do you agree with me?

It’s me, Lyosha Ryasantsev from Blagodarny, Russia. I’m sure that children in different countries are alike in their curiosity, their wish to communicate and have adventures.
I have many hobbies: I like music, football, fishing, computer games and travelling, I also play the guitar. But there is one hobby that we call our family hobby. You know, my great-grandfather, granddad, my daddy and I are fond of doves. We keep them as our pets and have different kinds of them. Many people in our place have the same hobby. They even created our special town kind; they are grown only here. They are red in colour with white heads. They are included in different catalogues and encyclopedias. You could see such doves nowhere 20 years ago and now they are all over the world. By the way, this dove is a symbol of our town.
There are exhibitions here twice a year. Of course, you can see other birds here too: quails, peacocks and pheasants but the kings of them are our doves. They are of all colours: white, black, yellow, grey.
I wonder have you got such exhibitions for bird lovers in your country? I’d like to know more about you, my penpal, your hobbies, the place where you live.
If you want, I can tell about my travelling around the country. Believe me, it’s great! Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kislovodsk, Sochi, Elista are worth visiting!
My father is a vet, that’s why I love animals, I think. Cats, a dog and water rats live in my house. This year my parents gave me dwarf rabbits as a present, they are so funny! I want to see their babies.
I like reading books as well. I enjoy English writers such as Talkien and J. Rolling. The characters of their books are very popular in Russia.

I’m writing you to make a new friend and to tell you about my interests and to know yours.
At first I have to introduce myself. My name is Polushkina Olga.I’m15 and I’m a student of the 10th form. And I want to talk with you about music.
Do you like music? I do because we can hear it every where-at home or in a shop, even at school. And in my opinion music is the best way to understand each other. You may don’t know the words of the song but the music language you always understand. And it plays the greatest role in my life. I go to the music class. It was my mum who advised me to learn playing some musical instruments. I decided to choose the piano… It was a long time ago… I was 8 when I took my first music lesson and I succeeded! Now I can sing and play the piano quit well. And can you play any instruments? Maybe you can play the guitar? A lot of young people play the guitar now.
I don’t want you to think that I like just classical music. I also interested in modern music a lot. What sort of music do you like? If you ask me I like punk rock. This music makes me feel good even if I’m in trouble. My favorite punk singer is Avril Lavigne (of course you know her famous song “Skater boy”). I think she is perfect and her songs are really truthful and have a very interesting plot. Could you tell me who are your favorite singers or groups? It’s very important for me. Maybe we listen to different music but I’m sure that your musical preferences are nice and you’ll advice me some good groups and songs to listen to. My favorite rock groups are Fall Out Boy, Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, Linkin Park, Muse and Paramore. They are all the best for me. Maybe you like some of them. Paramore, Muse and Linkin Park wrote some soundtracks for the film called “Twilight”. I have seen this film and read the book “Twilight” written by Stephanie Mayer. Have you ever heard about it? I advice you to read it and I’ll be waiting for your comment about it.
Another sort of music I like is R’n’B and rap. Do you like it? I’m sure that as any others young persons you like dancing. In my opinion R’n’B music is the best for it. Who are your favorite R’n’B singers? Mine are Christina Aguilera (because of her voice), Beyonce(because of her songs), Shakira(she moves fantastic!) and of course boys- Eminem(!!!) and Justin Timberlake. And I’m fond of such groups as The Black Eyed Peace, The Pussycat Dolls, Maroon 5 and a lot of others.
Besides I listen to pop, classical, alternative and other sorts of music. English songs are very useful because they help me learn the language.
It’s very important for me to receive a letter from you. I want to know everything about you: what is your name, where do you live, about your favorite actors, singers, books, subcultures! You can write me whenever you like and about whatever you want! I’ll be glad to know your opinion about music, science, films, literature and even about politics because I think we really can be friends.
