Дорогие участники конкурса-проекта "В гостях у Шерлока Холмса"!
Я рада приветствовать вас в нашем проекте. Я думаю, что вы получите удовольствие, общаясь друг с другом, обсуждая ваши детективные истории, приобретая новых друзей.
Первое задание нашего проекта - визитная карточка. Вы получили это задание от своих локальных координаторов. Хочу напомнить, что ваши визитные карточки должны быть такими, чтобы другим участникам конкурса было интересно познакомиться с ними. Представьте себя любым удобным для вас способом. Расскажите о себе как можно подробнее. И не забывайте, что ваши визитные карточки должны быть только на английском языке.

The second task.

A detective genre is a profound type of literature, because you need to use your imagination for understanding the murder's psychology and predict his future actions. Not everyone can become an investigator because should have well-developed logic and motive of betray in a detective book. The examples of this are books by Marinina – one of the famous Russian writers, are based on most detectives on the principle of “6 handshakes”, when all the characters know each other through the chain of 6 people. Any detective story is made up of the main characters and minor ones.
In conclusion some more ideas concerning detective stories can be added.
For:
- Detective is a net of actions. When you read it, you open your logic and imagination.
Against:
- Sometimes, when you read a detective, you can be excited, that you can believe it, you become a crazy fan of that idea.

The third task.

Unfortunately, our group is the only participant in this contest, so we have no opponents to ask our questions. That’s why we would like to interview Ludmila Michailovna - the leader of this contest.

1. What is your attitude to a detective genre?
2. What authors do you prefer: modern or old ones? Why?
3. What professional qualities of Sherlok Holmes appeal to you most?

My dear friends!
Thank you for your questions. My attiude to the detective genre is not so simple one. I liked reading detective stories when I was a child. My favourite author was A.C.Doyle. I liked reading about Sh.Holmes very much. I reread all these stories many times, I almost learned them by heart. But at the times of my childhood the books were the only thing we had. There were no computers, no TV sets in each home. So to learn something interesting we could only read. When I grew up I continued reading detectives. New interesting writers appeared and one of them is Dick Franсis. I liked his books very much and i still love them. I don't like modern detective stories, especially so called women's detectives. I prefer classical detectives. Maybe because i'm not young?

The forth task.

Sherlock Holmes took his pipe out – this was his favorite gesture. He frowned his brows, drawing dense smoke of the tobacco from Cuba.

-“There's something wrong here” - he suddenly stopped in the center of the room, looking at me, while I was standing near the window and thinking about who the criminal might be.

-“What do you mean, colleague?” – I was surprised, watching this man stopped doubting. Then he smiled: “I see, you have found the lead?”

“Maybe, maybe, Dr. Watson” – he said, filling the room with a cloud of smoke and putting on his hat. “Let’s go, we’re being waited for”.

I was really interested in who needed those Guardian’s headdresses? I didn’t understand the logic of the criminal. What did he want? To disgrace Great British Army, which holds the Parade without any mistakes?

After half an hour since we’ve left Sherlock’s house, we were informed that the secretary of Her Majesty wants to see us in his cabinet. Of course, we couldn’t reject his invitation – it was a concrete and persistent request. When we arrived at Buckingham Palace, we didn’t see Mr. Jones – the secretary of the Queen.

Sherlock examined the whole cabinet and paid attention to the bookcase, covered with a heavy layer of dust, it looked like it had been here for about hundreds of years. It seemed to us that the bookcase was unnecessary here; it was not for the cabinet. We came up to it and saw the tracks, as though the bookcase had been turned the other side. So, I tried to push it and fortunately it became turned! We saw an unreal picture: a long and dark corridor stretching to the underground of the building. We came inside the darkness and suddenly heard some strange sounds. It seemed we heard some voices. As we came closer, the voices became more understandable, and we could clear out who the talking persons were.

In the end of the tunnel the black-tree door was located, it was almost hidden, but we saw a narrow line of light.

What did we see? You won’t believe!!!!. In that room which was perfectly adorned and decorated, the secretary of Her Majesty was sitting and doing something with a heap of bearskins under the strict leadership of Elizabeth the First, the Queen!

This was the way how we solve the crime.
