We think that each pupil has his own answer to this question.

Thank you for interesting question.

Probably, we don't influence school life especially, but, of course, this influence exists. First, we have a youth administration which doesn't allow to miss neither to us, nor to teachers. All school decisions are accepted by school administration together with the youth one. Elections take place every year in autumn.
In December we have a day of self-management. This day pupils are interchanged their places with teachers. We conduct lessons for teachers, and it is cool! Teachers have fun too!!! Some of them even try to break lessons!

ЗАДАНИЕ 2. «ШКОЛЬНЫЕ ГОДЫ ЧУДЕСНЫЕ »ДЛЯ УЧАСТНИКОВ В ГРУППАХ.

Some children consider that school years are the happiest in their life but other teenagers think that it is boring uninteresting.
We suppose that school is the second home for us because we spend much time here. Firstly, we study at school to get high-quality education to be successful in our future life. Our students take prize places in municipal and regional competitions and conferences. For example, in 2008-2009 our students got 7 first and 10 second places in some important competitions. Secondly, we are taught to be kind, responsible, gallant and honest here. On the one hand our teachers are strict but on the other hand they are fair. We discuss teenagers’ problems together, and they help us to solve difficult situations. Many our schoolchildren are volunteers. They take part in social projects such as ”Yard of winners ”, “School is our home”, “Help children”. Finally, we spend our leisure at school. After classes our boys and girls do not usually go home right away. They have some extracurricular activities. Everybody is proud of our sport achievements. Our sportsmen are the winners of many contests. There are 3 dance groups in our school. They are the winners of All-Russia dance competitions. Young correspondents of our school newspaper “Tusovka” write articles about our school events. Our social activity helps us to be creative, funny and sociable. We study to advertise ourselves in our school.
It is true that there are those who hate school. They disagree that school years are happy. Some of them think that school life is boring and difficult because it is connected with hard mental activity. Others do not like school because of their problems with classmates. Maybe, they are not easy to get along with. We are sure that in future they will present all unpleasant moments of their school life with humour.
The only thing, we would like to change in our school, is repairing our building and buying modern equipment. We are eager to find sponsors for it.
In conclusion, we would like to say that in spite of the different points of view about school it is unforgettable time of life.

It is true some students like school, others do not like it. For students, who do well in most subjects, school is an attractive place. But for those, who are not successful, school is boring and uninteresting.
As for us, we are happy at school. To begin with, we know the standard of education in our school is very high. We study various subjects and our lessons are usually interesting and exciting. We have got very good, well-educated, responsible and kind teachers. Most of our teachers have got a lot of teaching experience. They understand very well the difficulties of the learning process. They help us to learn all subjects well. They also guide us and advise us on all aspects of our study and life. They share their knowledge and experience with us, and we respond them with love. Then, we have got many friends. Our friends are a part of our life. Friends help us always. At last school life is very enjoyable. We have got many entertainment sections. Our students go in for dancing, singing, painting, chess and sport. Our school has got it’s own traditions. We are the members of such organizations as the Union of boys and girls, the Parliament. All this makes our life interesting and diverse.
As far as we know some schoolchildren are against school. We think that they are not successful at school, and they are always pressed by teachers and their parents. School is boring and uninteresting for them. These students do not understand that they will miss school after finishing it.
To sum up, we consider that school is a place where we spend 11 years, that is why we will remember it forever.

This time is the most memorable and wonderful because I think in only in childhood different wonders and magic things happen. As you know children believe in miracles, at least I do.
But on the other hand there are some difficulties, too.
It is a hard working day, almost without rest, because we have 7 lessons, which end at 15.30. The only large break is for lunch when we go out for a walk on the school playgrounds. And after all I do my homework in the evening.
I love our school. I'm the fifth form. And during those 5 years I learned every wonderful place of it. Most of my favorite places at school - its classes, for music, fine arts, because there I feel necessary and sure. I love to sing and dance.
Our gymnasia “Istok” participates in many competitions and contests at different levels: town, city, country and international. In everywhere it takes some winning places.
In general, I wouldn’t change anything in gymnasia, only some things. For example, I think there should be a computor in every classroom. And some teachers could be not so strict.

Of course, we must have computers in all the classes, otherwise it is too difficult to get modern education and take part in such contests. But it is our common problem, as we see. Let's hope that one day the situation in our schools will change to the better!

As for the teachers, they have to be strict. The only thing we want them not to be hating and spiteful!

Are there many strict teachers in your school? Are they strict when they give you marks or during the lessons and after the lessons?
At our school we have got stricyt teachers too. One of them is as teacher of Russian, she sometimes gives 3 only for one mistake. I think it is not fair.

Dear Anyuta!
Of course we have some strict teachers (by the way in Russian too), but she gives us good knowledge. It is worse when the other teacher (she is the only crying teacher in our school) cries all the time!

As for our tiredness-our school is one of the best in our town, (we are on the second place after language gymnasia)that's why it is rather difficult to study here. Also students are from the different parts of our town and it takes too much time to get to school.
And we need many extra classes... THAT IS WHY WE ARE VERY TIRED NOW!
But you are right-it will be boring without this tiredness!

I agree with opinion of the guys. You see the really school days are wonderful. School years wonderful there are many new acquaintances, we experience because of bad estimations and we study to understand each other. We become creative, sociable and funnyl.
In school life we try to be patient and reasonable to us it helps in the future.
The teacher be strict, but only at infringement of discipline and not desires to work.
“School” - it strict and not the strict teachers”.

Wonderful school years.
I agree that school days are wonderful. After all we go to school in the childhood and this is the most unusual miracle for us. It is very good to be at school because it is as if our second house. There you are loved and missed. Your friends and teachers can support you during the difficult moments. At school you get a lot of friends, they become close to your heart and it is difficult to be without them. I love my school very much and I think I’ll never I forget about it in the future.
My usual school day begins when I come to there. We usually have 6 or 7 lessons and at the end of the day I am unwilling to leave my favorite school. When summer vacations come I don’t want to say goodbye to it.
This year my class has got a new study. It is very cozy and beautiful, though it is not large. May be because of it we began to quarrel less, as it coziness and warmth influenced us. There I have my favorite lesson of Mathematics. I feel like fish in the water in Math. I also like lessons of History, Nature study, and English.
We are proud of our school. Pupils of our school has taken the first places in 13 and 14 tourist meetings this and last year. We also take part in city, regional, country and international competitions and contests. Children get prize-winning places on singing to drawing.
At my school there is no such a thing or a detail which was to be changed.
My school the best one in the world!

At first we decided to drink some tea. The critic didn't agree.

Then baba-yaga, in combination the poet tried to write a poem about our team. The critic didin't agree again.

The artist tried to draw a comix about our school - the critic again was against.

We have decided to make the photo of the team-all of us were against it, the critic agreed.

Have read our essay- the ghost, in combination Vick, told that it was a dreg, the critic at last kept silent.

I know that the vocal groups of our school take the winning places at different contests in Primorye. And some of us went to Japan and Chine to show our talants. I can say that foreigners received us very well.
I also remember that last year some students of gymnasia took part in the International English Contest "The British Bulldog" and one girl took the 1st place in our territory and some others also had good places.

What I think about School.
Lessons, noise breaks, friends, classmates, tests, marks, holidays and excursions. All these things can be called only by one word-School.
Most of time teenagers spend at school. They learn something new everyday, learn to communicate, be friends, understand life and the environment, they learn to live in this world. Teens learn to defend their point of view, they choose their future path, choose their future profession.
School years are really important for every person. It will never be forgotten. School is the beginning of all beginnings. It is in school we confront with the first problems and try to solve them. We make plans and try to achieve something ourselves.
But not every student can understand importance of school in childhood. If kids are not happy at school, it's usually because of some problem. It could be trouble with friends or problems at home. Kids can find help by talking to a school counselor, teacher, or another adult at school or their friends. Teens don`t like to wake up early or make their homework after school. But people often understand how school is important only when they become older.
We come to school when we are young children and we leave it when we are almost adult. We become independent, intelligent and brave. We will always remember the first teacher, school friends, first lessons and all that is associated with the school.
School is a very important part of our lives.

We do vocal at your school. We participate in the annual gymnasiya competition "The Star of "Istok"," the district competition "Minute of Glory in Dalnegorsk ", the regional competition "The Perl of Primorye", "Christmas Star". We often win prizes.
I go in for dancing outside my school.

Hello everybody!

We need your advise!!!

Last year we wrote a fairy tale about the 9th Kingdom full of mysterious characters, knights of the square table, warriors of knowledge and…king Arthur.

School is our future

What can be better than a school time? Unfortunately, carefree time of the childhood comes to an end, there are examinations ahead , a graduation party, entering the University.
Looking back , I would like to remember the most remarkable time at school, and it is ,of course, a primary school. In the senior classes such questions as "what is good and what is bad" replaced with questions" what is integral and what is roots?"
Our favourite teachers help us to understand all nuances of the school program .
The teacher — how many sensations conceals this word. The first beacon at a boundless ocean of knowledge, the assistant and simply sensitive and attentive person. The teacher is that person without whom atmosphere at school wouldn't be such sincere and quiet.
I have found the most true and understanding friends in school.
Why school is our future? At school we receive the first knowledge which will be necessary in life, we meet the first disappointments and successes. Start in life for us is given by school.
What defined our school ten years ago and what is defining now? It is kindness, sincerity, responsiveness, both from teachers, and from schoollchildren.
I would like to wish a favourite grammar school a prosperity, attentive and talented pupils, and to teachers -a lot of patience and successes in work.

The description of the presentation
In presentation there should be an information on school.
The purpose of my presentation to acquaint pupils of school and participants of competition with my school in English.
The presentation plan.

I will tell a little bit about each of points.
1. The school description.
Here will be расказ how my school looks: offices, a hall, a sprot-hall, a teacher's room, library, a reflaxing room, athletic field and another. As a photo of school and all above the listed.
2. School history.
In this point I will tell about that what and how many directors were for school history, how many pupils were issued from school and then steels учителами at our school, about teachers - veterans, about that as my school developed.
3. School achievements.
I will tell about all achievements of our school with whom it cooperates and how many awards have, about outstanding persons of our school, and as about competitions which takes place in school walls.
I consider that all it will be the excellent maintenance of presentation if to include there bright photos from school life.
4. Our teachers.
Here I want to tell about teachers of our school and about successes of some of them.

In this point I will tell about our school newspaper "NOTA BENE". It is issued already long time and in it a lot of helpful information.

Grammar school №9 is one of the oldest educational institutions of Kaluga and the Kaluga region. In 1879 in this building there was opened Kaluga female diocesan school. The great Russian scientist, the founder of theoretical astronautics K.A.Tsiolkovsky taught physics and astronomy in our school.

Then - about modern school in some way...

For example in 2006 our grammar school became the winner of the second All-Russia competition of model of Student's self-management of educational institutions.

There is a national memorial museum of K.A.Tsiolkovsky.

Also we have a Museum of history of our gymnasia.

In our grammar school: there are 782 pupils and 53 teachers.

29 teachers have the higher qualifying category, 12 teachers have the first qualifying category.

3 persons have honorary title «the Deserved teacher of the Russian Federation».

3 persons have a sign «Honourable worker of the general education».

4 persons have certificates of honor of the Ministry of the Russian Federation.

In our gymnasia there are 5 winners of the National project "Education" in a nomination «Best teachers of Russia».

We have 6 profile classes (2 physical and mathematical, 2 socially-humanitarian, 2 chemical and biological (medical))

There 19 circles and sports sections,3 studios: vocal, theatrical, "Inspiration"

25 extra classes.

Then... Then... Then we don't know what will be then...

There are some ideas.

One of them is drawing a commix about the school life.
The second is to make a small film about a ghost of the Castle №9 <\/u><\/a>

(you know that our school is more than 130 years and we are sure that our ghost has many scary stories to tell...and not only scary...)

Hello, dear friends. Let’s introduce ourselves. We are the students of school number 30 in Chita. We study in 6-9th grades. The name of our team is " the Newcomers" All days there are problems with the Internet.

Now we’d like to give a description of our presentation.
It’s called “My favorite school”
The aims of our work are to prove that school life is important for young generation, to improve English and to prepare a pack of materials for extra-curriculum activities. The idea of our presentation is to make a present to our school and teachers in unusual form.
The aim of our presentation is to inform the other participants of the project “My school is my castle” about our school achievements in study, sport and social life. We are doing this work at our extra activities this year, that’s why we have decided to present our school life in English. This year we are going to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our school and to gather the information about our former students and teachers. So we begin this work doing the presentation.
Our presentation is for students of our own school and schools of our Motherland.
We made our minds to present our school in Power Point, because it helps us to develop our creative skills and mental abilities, it’s interesting and we are used to work with this program at our English and IT lessons.
First, we’ll tell other students that our school got a 1 million ruble grant as one of the best schools in Russia. Second, we’ll inform the participants about our good results in learning, our teachers who were the winners of President’s grand, our best students. Then we would like to draw their attention to sport achievements because our sportsmen are the winners of the town and regional competitions. At last, we would like them to find out about our dance and vocal groups, drama theatre, art studio. We’d like to explain the structure of our students’ Republic “ Society of the Equal and the Independent” (GRIN), which includes the President, the parliament and the government. We’ll tell other children about laws of our Republic, our social projects. We’ll try to include both visual and written materials.

May, I liked your plan. I think that the strong sides of the work are you will tell about the history of the school. But you could also talk about students, classmates. In my opinion the purpose of the presentation appropriates the audience and content. I didn’t understand the form, will it be a newspaper?

Of course you are right!

But we have an experience in such project (last year) and we would not like to repeat the same information. And we want to make something unusual, not informative!

Everybody loves their school and will tell us about their achivements! Even your participation in this project shows that your teachers are creative and loving new forms of work people, and your school loves innovations. So let's create something unusual, not what everybody are waiting from us! Even if we won't win, let's we try to create something...merry and surprising!

Besides we precisely know now that it impossible to be in time (and here you are right again ) and to to tell about everything you want!
Certainly, we haven't time to make everything we thought about... The film is already removed, we mount the film and it is not easy. We are afraid we will not be in time. Besides we tried to limit our work's weight (last year we even couldn't load our presentation, we had to cut it at the last minute)
Besides there is one more difficulty of work in a team-constantly someone is ill, our teacher was left for excursion with the class- we had to do evetything ourselves, without a management.

And we have approached to creation of a film as a team of 3 persons (instead of 7), but with the teacher... In whole, while we have rather dull and slow film... 9th Castle

The idea of telling about the school with the help of a ghost is creative. But in my opinion it would be better if the idea were written more concrete because I only guess that it is the idea.
You are going to tell much about the teachers and it is very well. But I think there is no variety in the content, may be you’d better add something more to vary it.
The idea of making a film about your school is very unusual. It is the strong side because nobody is going to make a film.
I didn’t understand about the audience. Will they be only the participants of the contest?

but we are not sure that our film will be unforgetable... too much difficulties on the way of it's creation/

As for the audience-we do it for you and for the pupils of our school. All the pupils of our gymnasium have been telling scary stories about the ghosts at our school for a long time... Security guards tell us about strange things at night... Therefore it is interesting for our pupils-what kind of ghost we will create. If it will turn out to be uninteresting, we will remake the film later.. It is a result too, we think.

As for the aim of our work-to have a good time with our friends and, of course, with you! We wanted to take pleasure in process, instead of the result. We are sure that holiday expectation is more pleasant than a holiday itself.

And we must say that we have fulfiled our program-we had a great time together and all the school were watched our messages and supported us!

Isn't it a victory?

The idea of making a present to the school and teachers in unusual form is very interesting. On the one hand the team is taking part in the contest and on the other hand they are going to make a presentation and use it as a present.
The content of the presentation is going to be various and interesting. Everything appropriates the aim of the presentation. The team took into account all the details. I think the presentation will be full and interesting. I didn' find weak sides in your plan
