We are a team from Kaluga. We are very different, but we have one common desire to tell everybody about our grammar school.
But firstly we'll tell you about our team
The name of our team is "9th Castle" (because of the number of our school).

So, we are:
Maria Kuznetsova- the pupil of the 8th form. Our artist.
Ilya Belikin-the pupil of the 9th form. Our coordinator and the critic.
Victor Galkin-9th form. The most active worker and the soul of the team.
Alexander Semenkin-9th form. Our designer and the expert in dances.
Ekaterina Shishkova-9 a class. The expert on languages.
Svetlana Klopova-10th form. Our poet.
Ekaterina Gureeva-10th form. Our photographer and the expert in computers.

P.S. Unfortunately, we had problems with the computer, therefore we'll attach the photo tomorrow.
By the way, there are too few messages. Why don't you write? Be more active, please)))
May be it is because of the end of the term?
Last year even the pork flu hasn't prevented us to be active!

Undoubtedly my school is my second house. We spend much time at school getting profound knowledge which can help to understand the world around us better. It plays the important role in our life.
Frankly speaking I am not a very successful student, but I like to go to school because I feel myself comfortable there and I haven`t got problems with my classmates and teachers though the teachers are strict. I usually get on well with them.And I think if we had less homework, I would have more time to spend with my friend or take up hobbies. Thank you for your attention. I`ll be very glad to communicate with participants.

Для начала, предлагаю ознакомиться с расписанием конкурса.

27 октября. Задание № 1 «Визитная карточка». Участники знакомятся друг с другом на форуме конкурса, рассказывая о себе в интересной форме.

28 – 29 октября. Задание № 2 «Школьные годы чудесные» Участники составляют свое представление о том, что для него значит школа, делятся своими размышлениями на форуме конкурса.

30 октября- 1 ноября. Задание № 3 «Встретимся на форуме» Участники обсуждают на форуме мнения конкурсантов о школе, ее роли в их жизни.

2 - 4 ноября. Задание № 4 «Самая лучшая школа в стране». Участники определяют содержание своей презентации о школе, составляют ее план и обсуждают на форуме проект своей презентации.

5 - 7 ноября. Задание № 5 «Я - эксперт». Участники выступают в роли экспертов и оценивают работы других участников, выполненных в предыдущем задании.

8- 9 ноября. Задание № 6 «Оформление и дизайн презентации». Участники оформляют свою презентацию и высылают ее в жюри конкурса.

9 ноября. Задание № 7 «Рефлексия участников». Участники делятся своими мнениями о конкурсе.

10 ноября. Подведение итогов конкурса. Призеры конкурса получают подарки и грамоты, участникам высылается рейтинг.

Hello! My name is Annya. I live in Dalnegorsk, it is in Primorskiy Krai. I study at gimnasia "Istok. It has such a name because every large and important thing begins with something small, like a large river starts from a small spring. I take part in this project for the first time. The project seemed to me important and educational because we spend a lot of time at school, it is interesting to learn what problems the children of other schools have, and if they are the same as ours, if those children like studying at their schools and what unusual they have if to compare with our school. I am not indifferent to the place where I study. I’d like to look at my school from aside. As for me I like the theme, because it is connected with the school. My name is Varya Goncharova, of the 5th form,gymnasia “Istok”, Dalnegorsk.
This project made me interested because I think my school is worthy of telling about that many people got to know about it. We spend much time in gymnasia, even more than at home. Hello Emil! I think your hobby is not at all strange. In our town there are some people collect stones because we have mines in oue town where you can find different stones, and besides, 40 km from our place there is the Japen Sea. I can say we live near the sea. And on the seaside there are also a lot of interesting stones. At our school some pupils make handmade craftworks from them for exhibitions. What do you do with your stones?
I go in for sports too. It is dancing. We go to Vladivostok and China and some other places with our dancing group.
I also go in for jogging in the morning and in the evening.
What unusual subjects do you have at your school. We have TRIZ. It is a theory of solving inventive sums.

Dear Lyudmila Mikhailovna!
Thanks for a good estimation of our previous work, we'll try to justify your hopes, but it is difficult to work this time, we don't know why. And there is no possibility to meet often, so we communicate on Interenet witht each other. And it complicates the process of creation of collective presentation very much. But we try to do the best!

P.S. Last year we were given the diploma with the list of names of all the participants of the contest. And why it is not so this year ? We mean the contest "A letter to a foreigner"?

And where are our friends from Nizhnevartovsk? We miss them greatly! It was one (not the only) of the reason to take part in this project-to meet them!

We'll try may be not to win, but to have a good time and hope to meet interesting people!

As for your questions- we took part in some contests of the center Eidos and we liked them very much. Last year we made the presentation of our school in Power Poiint and also made a small video about our gymnasium.

This year we took part in the project "A letter to a foreigner" and advise you to take part in this contest next year! It's worth trying!

And, of course, olympiads are very interesting!

As for material about school-it is not difficult to find it, it is difficult to present it creatively!

Let’s introduce ourselves. We are the students of school number 30 in Chita. We study in 6-9th grades.
Now we’d like to give a description of our presentation. It’s called “My favorite school” The aims of our work are to prove that school life is important for young generation, to improve English and to prepare a pack of materials for extra-curriculum activities. The idea of our presentation is to make a present to our school and teachers in unusual form.
The aim of our presentation is to inform the other participants of the project “My school is my castle” about our school achievements in study, sport and social life. We are doing this work at our extra activities this year, that’s why we have decided to present our school life in English. This year we are going to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our school and to gather the information about our former students and teachers. So we begin this work doing the presentation.
Our presentation is for students of our own school and schools of our Motherland.
We made our minds to present our school in Power Point, because it helps us to develop our creative skills and mental abilities, it’s interesting and we are used to work with this program at our English and IT lessons.
First, we’ll tell other students that our school got a 1 million ruble grant as one of the best schools in Russia. Second, we’ll inform the participants about our good results in learning, our teachers who were the winners of President’s grand, our best students. Then we would like to draw their attention to sport achievements because our sportsmen are the winners of the town and regional competitions. At last, we would like them to find out about our dance and vocal groups, drama theatre, art studio. We’d like to explain the structure of our students’ Republic “ Society of the Equal and the Independent” (GRIN), which includes the President, the parliament and the government. We’ll tell other children about laws of our Republic, our social projects. We’ll try to include both visual and written materials.
