Let me introduce myself. My name is Masha. I am 15. I study at school №29. My address is 27 Dzerzhinskogo Street. I was born in Nizhnevartovsk. Where I am still living.
I can compare myself with the owl because I go to bed at night and wake up in the afternoon. It is a very clever bird and it works only at night. That’s why I like to do my lessons and do everything at night.
Some things are always with me. How do you think, what are they? Guess what? To my mind you guessed. Of course they are: pencils, brushes, paints and paper. I am a person of art. I go to the Art school where I am drawing and learning different styles of culture and painting. As a have already mentioned there are many things on my table at home. These are: albums, erasers and sharpeners. So I like to go for a walk in the forest with my pets and my family. I am fond of to create different composition of my hand. That’s my hobby. I can listen to almost any kind of music, my taste range from classic music to heavy metal. I believe that music should be energetic, that’s why I am fond of Apocalypses.
The first aim that I take part at this competition is communication with my new friends and widen outlook of myself. Participating in such activity can be really fantastic. The second you are making new friends, you became friendly and clever you develop the knowledge of English language. At the same time you discover new world for yourselves.
Nobody knows beforehand the result of the competition. In a way it is very attractive. I hope to catch an owl luck .

I would like to send my letter to a common girl or boy from any English-speaking country or to somebody who is learning English as well as I do. Certainly, he or she should study at school or in the university – it’s easier for me to communicate with someone of my age. But one of my dreams is a correspondence with someone who is older than me. In my opinion, it will be really fine. If my pen-friend and I have similar hobbies and interests, it will be really perfect, but having different opinions on people’s likes and dislikes is wonderful – we will have something to talk about and to discuss. I don’t know how my future friend looks like and what character he or she has, therefore I can’t tell, why I will write a letter only to him or her. But realistic view on life must be the main feature of my pen-friend, because realism will unite us.

I would like to write my pen-friend about me, my outlook on life and tell some amazing moments of my daily routine. I will ask him or her about his/her way of life, music preferences and creative work – I really love creative people!

I hope that our correspondence will not come to nothing more than one letter and we will become pen-friends for a long time. Nick goes in for sports with great enthusiasm. He was interested in computers and dreamt to enter The University of Informatics and Electronics. But he was not admitted there by competitive examinations. So he joined the army and became a soldier. After his service in the army Nick entered the correspondence department of The University of Informatics and Electronics and became a student.

We take part in the competition: «A letter to a foreigner», because we want to practice our English, find new friends from other countries and communicate with them. We think that it will be very interesting and exciting and we will enjoy it. We want to know all about teenagers: their hobbies, countries, education, and their school life.

We live in Russia, in Kaliningrad. And we are proud of our city.
If you came to Kaliningrad, you can see the beautiful nature, sights and the Baltic Sea.
Our city has many schools, but we think that Gymnasium № 32 is the best.
We study in that Gymnasium. There we study many different subjects like a: Mathematics, Biology, different foreign languages and others.
We prefer Linguistic profile, because our hearts are full of love to English and German languages, which we study in this profile.
We go to the swimming pool three days in a week. And as for us it is the best sport.
Hobbies of Feodora are: drawing and knitting.
And of Karina are: traveling and collections of small glass toys.
Feodora love: bubbles, chocolate, cats and rainbows. She prefers morning with it’s bright sun.
And she thinks that every person should believe «in his rainbow» and everything will be OK.
And Karina likes night with it’s moon light and black sky full of stars.
We are kind, curious, friendly, sporty, positive, mobile and creative.

My name is Emil Minshakirov; I’m 16 and a half years old. I study at the 10th form. I've lived 16 years of my life in Nizhnevartovsk – our compact beauty in the heart of the world-wide known Siberia.

I can compare myself with William Shakespeare because we have a lot in common. For instance, we were born on the same day – April 23th. As we’ve learned from the history course – Willie died on the day he was born. What am I mentioning this for? Well, I hope that I won’t follow his destiny. Though I don’t write in verse, my teachers are over contented with my compositions and they always say that I’ve been gifted by Shakespeare talent. I guess, that’s not only a compliment, but a reproach because my creations as complicated to read as a great writer’s ones.

If today the usage of a standard mobile phone is a part of our life, it doesn’t mean that it’ll keep its features tomorrow. Who knows, maybe tomorrow we’ll use microchips, implanted in our wrist, in order to get easier distanced conversations. This is the way I can be described – always brilliant and simple in use.

My age is the age of discoveries. The activity I have now is enough to participate in just everything. So, my main reason why I take part in this contest is – Why not?

Our team feel s like participating in this competition. It is wonderful and great for us to work together, because we have been friends for many ears. Thank you for your questions. So, as for me I've been learning English for about 20 years and you know that it's never ending process: every time you find something new and interesting and it doesn't matter if you've been learning it for a year or for 20 years. I also teach French and many years ago I was in England. It was so many years ago that sometimes it seems to me that it was not me who visited England.

A person I want to write to is Prince Harry Mountbatten-Windsor. He is the grandson of a British queen Elizabeth II and the son of a Prince Wales Charles and Princess Diana.
He was born on 15th of September 1984 in Great Britain in London. And he still lives here. He has finished Iton university.
And really surprising is that fact that he is the first member of royal family who has served in the zone of hostilities.
As for his hobbies he likes sport. He likes rugby, cricket, polo. And one time he was a rugby coach. He taught little children how to play it.
Prince Harry has made a charity organization “ Sentebale “. And he has been helping orphan children. Once he was helping people who suffered after tsunami. And he has been running a charity now.

My name is like the greatest English Queen`s name. Unfortunately I’m not a symbol of Great Britain. I`m only 15 years old and I`m in the 10-th form. But I`m a Queen of my own kingdom. To be more exact I`m a Princess in my own imaginary fantastic word named «I», or «My life. So I`m a little sunny Princess from a tiny town in the centre of Russia. I`m look like a sunny ray, not only because I have fair hair, and as my friends say,

Both I and Dakota are 15. In my opinion, we may have the same interests. The Difference between us is only that she has already become successful, and I only begin my way to success. I decided to write her because I am looking forward to learning more about her life and interests. I’m willing to write to one of my most favorite actors – Tim Roth. In spite of the fact he was born in Britain, he’s living in the USA now. He has chosen Silverlake district of Los-Angeles , because he said: “its cheaper there”.
He’s a former student of Camberwell Art College in London, where he had studied sculpture, but later pursued acting. Tim’s first step to the fame was participating in British TV show “Made in Britain” in 1982. Since then, he’s played over 65 roles. He appeared both on TV and in blockbuster movies like “Reservoir Dogs” or “Four Rooms”. His main hobby is playing pool – that’s why Tim is a quite challenging player.
In his adolescence he discovered another talent of himself – Roth learned quickly how to pick up accents. I guess it helped him in adapting to American culture, when he was taken there by his father during the World War II. I mentioned this fact in order to show the similarity between us. I’m fond of changing accents, because it makes conversations with native foreigners much easier.
Not too much time ago, Tim Roth took the role of Dr. Cal Lightman, the body language expert, in TV show, called “Lie to me”. Lightman used his knowledge in facial expressions and gestures as an assistance in figuring out who’s to blame in another crime or disaster. As far as I am concerned, Tim picked something out of this experience and can detect who lies and who doesn’t. Well, this is the reason why I am going to write to him. I want to ask him, whether he uses this skill in real life or not.
In addition, I would like to learn Tim's opinion in Barack Obama's political reload. Who knows, if Roth will stand against this method. And the last thing I want to know, if he's going to act in a movie, filmed somewhere in russia, just to give me the opportunity to meet him.

Hi guys! My name is Vsevolod Kuznetsov. I'm form Kurgan. It's a little town in Siberia.
I study in the 11th form of gymnasiun №47. So now a few more words about myself and my interests.
I'm fond of international relations. It seems to me very interesting how people from differnent countries imagine each other. My friend was in America and she said that great number of people in the USA still think that all russians drink "Vodka" and playi "balalayka" every day. From my point of view it's not fair. But nevertheless it's interesting for me. Nowadays Russia become more and more important part of the international society. So I want to become a intellegent person and to represent our Motherland in other countries. I think Russia deserves decent attitude to itself. That's why I'm studying in the class of foreing languages. I can speak both English and German. I take part in a great number of language contests and I get prizes very often . In addition I'm learning Chineese, it's amazing but very strange and unusual language. My dream is to enroll the Moscow State University of International Relations (so called MGIMO). Of course it's very difficult but I'll try to do my best.

I've got rather wide experience in the use of English. Last year I took part in an international english olympiad in Prague. So I got the sixth place and got acquainted with one Czech girl. Well, now we live in different countries but we often communicate via Skype and the e-mails. I enjoy talking to her and asking her about the life, tastes and the interests of teens in Czech Republic. So I've written a lot of letters to the foreing friend.

If to talk about me, I'm 16 years old, I'm keen on football, pc-gaming, languages, politics, billiard and rap music. You know, it's rather hard to describe me by few words.
While taking part in this competition I want to compare my skills with your ones. But I like to talk much more than to write

Hello people all over the world!
I’m Polushkina Olga and I want to find new friends abroad. Earlier I have not ever dreamed about the opportunity to speak with cool teenagers from England. I want to write a letter to a boy or a girl who has the same interests as I have.
First I have to say that the greatest part of my life belongs to music. As for me, I can play piano and sing. But it doesn’t mean that I just listen to classical music. So I want to know a younger who is crazy about punk rock, rap and R’n’B. I hope you also like football, because I’m a real football fan! My favorite football player is Fernando Torres. Besides, I enjoy reading. It’s my hobby. And if you like horror films as much as I do, you are definitely my person! And the best way to have a good rest for me is to go in for sports or have fun with my friends.
If you ask me why I am writing this letter, I answer you: my life is full of positive emotions and I want to share them with all people. But the main reason is to find lots of new FRIENDS, because there is nothing as important as friendship! And I want to know more about England, to know English better. So if you want a piece of my good humor write me!!!

Dudes, one condition, which is needed to continue on participating this challenging contest is to have a conversation with somebody. So let's help each other and talk about, ahhm for example, events in the 5th season of LOST, or galaxy turning switch in the end of 2012 ;-)

Let me introduce myself. My name is Nikulin Klim. I am 14 years old; I was born on the 17th of May, 1995. I study at gymnasia in the 8th form. My address is 16, Osennyaya Street, Apt. 16, Nizhnevartovsk.
I can tell a lot about myself. I am very curious. I am fond of reading fantasy and fiction. My favourite books are “Chronicles of the Narnia” by Clive Louis and “Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien. I am also a very careful person. Before beginning to do something new I weigh all pros and cons. I consider that my new deal should have a successful ending. So, I can compare myself with a cat, because a cat is as curious and careful as I am.
If you want to come to know me more thoroughly you can visit my room and see my inner world. I have a lot of books of Russian and English writers, different dictionaries of Longman and Oxford publishers. I am fond of listening to rap music because of true lyrics, so I have a lot of musical compact-discs. As I have been going in for karate-do for six years, I have a lot of medals from town and region competitions. If you look through the titles of the books in my room, you can guess about my ideas, views and thoughts. And of course my best friend is my computer. I have a lot of programs, for example Adobe Photoshop CS4, Image-Line Fruity Loops and Sonic Foundry Sound Forge.
I started learning English at the age of 7. From that time I fell in love with it. I read everything in English: comics, fairy-tales, poems, novels, magazines, newspapers and of course information from the Internet. But I have never had an opportunity to write a letter to a foreigner. And I can’t miss my chance to take part in this competition.
I expect that this competition will help me to develop my writing skills. I mean how to write letters, SMS, e-mails to teens. I will also learn how to write formal and informal letters.
