POETICAL TOURNAMENT.

You like poetry and you have what to say to others, don’t you? You are ardent and like the spirit of competition, isn’t it so? Congratulations! You are the very person who should participate in a poetical tournament on the forum of Distant Center of Education “Eidos”. So today we invite you to be one of the participants of a poetical tournament which will be held in the form of discussion.

The theme of the discussion: “You can't write poetry on the computer”. Quentin Tarantino

The terms of the discussion: Post your poem on the theme of discussion on the forum. Besides you should read the poems of other at least 2 participants and express your own opinion, agreement or disagreement with their authors.

I always write in Russian
And that's my first assay
I'm really like in ocean
Of minds and words to say.

And I have many problems
When I pick up the rhyme
It's very stressful process
So I sometimes want to cry.

Because computers are such things,
Which help us print all kinds of texts
To understand the words in them.

To write a poem
It's a good idea.
By how will you do it?
Will you write it
on the computer or
will you write it
on a sheet of paper?
It doesn't matter
To my mind,
The main problem
is to find the readers
who will read your poetry
And who can understand
Your own emotions, thoughts, ideas!

In this your poem I confess
All words that here you possess
Are real truth not more or less!
I’m in agreement with all of them
You should believe me
There’s no sham!

Alas, but poetry is such a thing

When bright idea came up to you
You write it anywhere
and If you say that
it is impossible for you
to write on the computer

Sometimes we catch ourselves using it weekly,
But I don’t think that without computer there is no poet,

It makes all people a bit nervous,
Through prism of numbers looks enormous.

Poetry is our gladness.
It gives us wings to fly from sadness.
It makes us fly instead of going
And give to people sense of loving.

We can’t compare these two things,
If we combine it’ll shred the wings.
We’ll stay on Earth and leave the joy.
Don’t use computer as a toy!

I'd like to comment this one,
It really has brought me a lot of fun.
Computer's really made by demons,
They make us stupid, slowly kill us.

You're right, we ought to get some rest.
Although we think that it's the best
thing, the humanity had brought in daily life,
But in a race with clock we only deeper dive
In that great world called Internet
And stays quite even TVset...

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
And the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
And the memory address makes your floppy disk abort,
Then the socket packet pocket has an error to report!

If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash,
And the double-clicking icons put your window in the trash,
And your data is corrupted because the index doesn't hash,
The situation then is hopeless, and your system will be crashed!

If the label on your cable on the gable at your house,
Says the network is connected to the button on your mouse,
But your packets want to tunnel to another protocol,
That's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall.

And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss,
So, your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse,
Then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang,
As I’m sure I'm a poet, then the sucker is going to hang!

When the copy of your floppy's getting sloppy on the disk,
And the microcode instructions cause unnecessary RISC,
Then you have to flash your memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM,
Quickly turn off your computer being ready to write with your plume!
